Enterprise environment The construction and maintenance of terminologies is generally a highly resource intensive process, involving many people. HealthTerm® is an enterprise back office system, based on a service-oriented architecture in which all terminology is centrally concentrated and managed. The application has been specially developed for the distribution and management of terminology processes as an online web based solution. Based on the SNOMED CT® structure The fundamental structure of the HealthTerm® system is based on SNOMED’s structures, with a development of the history mechanism, so as to provide a history of all objects. The model has been extended with dynamic attributes and associated history. This provides an opportunity to use HealthTerm® for many different classifications and terminologies at the same time. In this way, HealthTerm® concentrates all classification and terminology work in one place! The HealthTerm® terminology browser The terminology browser supports a multi-lingual view of all terms, and can easily be used in local language or multi-lingual environments. It is possible to view the data through a classic tree structure and simultaneously a star view in order to view multiple axes of the terminology system. HealthTerm® facilitates the use of advanced search mechanisms to find the many concepts contained in the terminology. You may use many single or combined criteria and many search types such as fuzzy search, soundex search, search in namespaces, hierarchies and subsets, all being restricted by user rights. All components (concepts, terms, subsets, projects, relations and properties) are equipped with a unique key-ID and may also be found using an ID search. Workflow In general, if many people are to work together efficiently, it is important to have a controlled work process. HealthTerm® gives you the opportunity to create an advanced workflow, in which different working groups are assigned different roles and rights to a subset or project, for example in connection with a review process. In HealthTerm® workflows are used to control the translation of a terminology, qualification of concepts, interchange of opinions when new concepts are being suggested or if a subset is to undergo a review process. User management HealthTerm® has been developed for company processes, which is why it is possible to assign particular roles to all users in groups. These rights may be inherited between groups, and may be based on either menus, namespaces or objects, or combinations of these, such as different classifications, extensions or specific subsets. In several modules it is possible to make specific user management modelling, as there are three levels of rights to choose from: view, edit or administrator.
