CareCom A/S is a Danish software company based in Copenhagen. The company was founded in 1999 by CEO Jacob Boye Hansen. CareCom primarily develops software for the healthcare sector, and the company has created cutting-edge competence within the focus area.
CareCom is a significant player in the migration from paper-based patient records to electronic patient records (EPR) in Denmark. CareCom’s major business area is healthcare terminology within the Danish model for electronic patient records (G-EPJ). Current projects comprise many known terminology systems such as SKS (Danish terminology standard based on ICD-10), ICF (International Classification of Functioning) and SNOMED-CT (the Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine) for which CareCom has developed the application HealthTerm.
CareCom’s customers include the Danish National Board of Health, Region Copenhagen, the largest healthcare region in Denmark, and National Health Service (UK).
